Winner of the New York Book Festival Award and top finalist for the Compton Crook, IPPY, and Benjamin Franklin Awards, Gina Farago is the author of Ivy Cole and the Moon, the first book in the Ivy Cole series. Her studies have included research on werewolf legends and lore, as well as personal interaction with a gray wolf pack, observing first-hand the animals' social behavior and hunting techniques. Farago's second book in the Ivy Cole series, Luna, will be out the first full moon of 2008.
Farago's other works include coauthoring Making Do: How to Cook Like a Mountain MeMa with Lois Sutphin. Originally from Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, Farago now resides in North Carolina.
