Born in the Bronx, New York, as Theresa Falcone, Bane was raised in Hackensack, New Jersey, by her two parents, Amedeo and Joan, with her two younger brothers, Vincent and Joseph. As soon as she was able, she fled the North for the warmer climate of the South.
Now calling herself “Terry,” she enrolled in The Savannah College of Art and Design, where she majored in illustration. While there, she met fellow artist T. Glenn Bane, fell in love and, after graduation, married. They moved around a bit, having adventures here and there before finally settling down in a little house in the woods of North Carolina.
Together they are raising two dogs that are far better behaved than most children who are let into malls and restaurants.
Terry has always loved writing and has a stack of nearly ready to publish works sitting around the house, including three Weasel sequels, a speculative fiction vampire trilogy, and a nonfiction historical catalogue of vampires.
